personal injury... the bottom line

We know from experience that our clients priority is to have their personal injury claim dealt with as soon as possible and with the minimal amount of fuss. There is no better feeling for us than the expression of surprise from clients who receive their compensation cheques weeks and months before they expected it. These are the clients that have enhanced our reputation and instigated the phenomenal growth in this firm's work and client base. It is these clients that have told their friends and relatives about their dealings with this firm and we know full well that the more we continue to deliver such results, the more successful this firm will become.

Where clients have been involved in serious accidents, we move quickly to instigate and ensure the provision of care programmes paid for by the other side. In cases involving serious injury, we are conscious of our responsibility to not only the client but also immediate relatives who might be representing the interests of the injured client. In such cases, we will quickly involve our own barristers to put in place case plans, ensure the instruction of highly specialist medical and other experts and focus on inevitable issues such as rehousing, long term unemployment, life expectancy, future care and loss of earnings. Cases of this nature aren't dealt with in 2 to 3 months. However, we know for certain that our approach and dedication will mean that even in the most complicated of personal injury cases, our clients and their relatives will know that every possible effort is being made to keep the client involved and comfortable with the steps that we will be taking in dealing with a claim for compensation arising from serious injury.

How do we get paid when dealing with a personal injury claim?

Once we have agreed the compensation that you are to receive, we will ask the other side to send us a cheque, made payable to you, the client, for the agreed amount. At the same time, we will write to the insurance company with details of our costs incurred. They will send us a separate cheque, payable to a.s.k Solicitors. For cases where a client is paid less than £10,000, there is a fixed rate of fees which we are entitled to request from the third party. If a client receives more than £10,000, we are entitled to request payment at an hourly rate, again from the other side's insurers. In all cases, we are also entitled to request extra costs such as the medical report fee, from the other side.
