a few words from our barrister of choice, Mr Charles Bloomer of Lincoln House Chambers, Manchester
My desire is to win at the first appeal stage if at all possible and I know Abdul has the same view. Getting permission to appeal a failure is hard and costly and we want to try to avoid that for all our clients. Abdul and I have worked together for several years and he is a pleasure to work with.
We regularly and actively discuss tactics in cases so that the best advice can be given to the client as to what to do and how to go about it and if we don't think you have a good enough case to go to an appeal, we will tell you rather than have you waste money on a case that has no realistic prospect of success. We will always give you the final choice on whether to go ahead but you will be able to make that choice based on complete, clear and simple advice.
Whilst we can never guarantee you success, the result of this approach is that we have a success rate over 90% on Immigration appeals.
My relationship with the Home Office Presenting Officers (their advocate at court) is generally very good - they trust me and I trust them - and is the same with the majority of the judges in the North West area in particular and so this allows for greater levels of discussion and narrowing of issues before hearings and is almost always to the benefit of the client.
I look forward to assisting you wherever and whenever necessary.
